The internet was buzzing after seeing resurfaced footage of the estranged prince in a 60 Minutes interview with Anderson Cooper from three years ago, where he looked back on his parents’ divorce prior to his mother’s death, as well as how he felt when Camilla officially joined his family, going as far as to call her a “villain.” Now that the clip has resurfaced, many believe this moment was an indicator that there has been animosity between the two royals for a long time. Over the last few months, more royal insider reports and rumors have been circulating that the relationship between the dad-of-two and the 78-year-old queen has a lot of tension that's been bubbling up for years, and getting worse since the prince wrote unfondly about her in his memoir following his move to America, Spare.

Now, a resurfaced clip from a 60 Minutes interview the prince sat down for in 2022, he spoke about the period before his father, King Charles, married Queen Camilla, with whom he had an affair during his marriage to Harry and Prince William's mother, Princess Diana. After he stepped down from his royal duties in 2020 and moved to America, the prince looked back on that time in disappointment while speaking to Anderson Cooper.

"She was the villain," he recalled. "She was the third person in their marriage. She needed to rehabilitate her image."

Although the interview took place three years ago and already caused a stir when it initially aired, due to recent reports that the queen is still "livid" about Harry's Spare memoir that detailed his experience with her and other members of the monarchy, the resurfaced clip from it had a lot of people wanting to weigh in.

On social media platforms like Instagram, many royal family fans and other internet users couldn't help but point out how the "sad" sentiments still seemed relevant. Additionally, many admired how he expressed his love for his late mother and continued to defend her decision to divorce his father.

"Camila and Charles wrecked his home!" wrote an Instagram user. "Only he has the right to express his feelings!"

"I'm sure it is so painful to know how unhappy their relationship made his mum," commented another. "He shouldn't be expected to forgive Camilla."

"He spoke from the heart," added a user.
