Many celebrities stepped out this past week and weekend for the infamous Venice Film Festival, including one of America’s favorite Brits, Emily Blunt. While she may have worn a stunning outfit, fans couldn’t help but show concern when she ended up looking a lot different than usual in the face.
The Quiet Place star arrived in Venice wearing a stunning, figure-hugging light blue gown, but worried her fans after smiling for the paparazzi, as many felt she looked “unrecognizable.” On social media, users began accusing the actress of getting fillers or plastic surgery, which is a rumor that’s been circling around her for the last year, given that it looks like she’s undergone some type of transformation. Emily Blunt Arrives At The Venice Film Festival In A Figure-Hugging Blue Gown
On Monday, the 42-year-old was filmed and photographed stepping off a boat and onto the red carpet at the famous Venice Film Festival, which has been in full swing over the last week. She attended the festival to promote and receive praise for the latest film she's starring in alongside Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, The Smashing Machine, which reportedly was given a 15-minute standing ovation. On Monday, however, she arrived for a photocall before the premiere of the new movie-musical, The Testament of Ann Lee.
Emily wore a curve-hugging, baby blue gown with gold charms and embellishments along its gold chain-link straps. The dress complemented her fit figure in a lovely way, and she paired the gold accents with gold accessories, including a statement necklace with three gold pendants, dangling gold earrings, and some stylish tortoise-shell sunglasses.
Her brunette, highlighted hair was worn down and slightly curled, and she was all smiles as she greeted photographers and fans on the red carpet.

Fans React To Emily's Red Carpet Look And Accuse Her Of Getting Plastic Surgery
While the mom-of-two arrived to excited fans and other celebrities, once pictures and videos of her Venice look were shared on social media, fans had mixed feelings about her look. It wasn't so much about her outfit, but her face. Over the last few years, after seemingly getting veneers and making other changes, internet users and aesthetics enthusiasts have been pointing out some differences in Emily's appearance and face, noting that she looks as if she's been getting some sort of cosmetic treatments.
Under a video of her arriving at the film festival on Instagram, users began weighing in on her facial changes.
"She is a stunning woman and an incredible actor, but I think that she has taken the facial treatments too far," wrote an Instagram user.
"Why on earth?!" asked a fan, speculating Emily had plastic surgery. "She was beautiful before."
One user wrote that Emily looks "unrecognizable," as another commented she now seems "so artificial and strange."
Although her dress received many compliments, it seemingly wasn't good enough to distract internet users from the differences in her face. We'll be curious to see if the backlash gets back to Emily and if she decides to do something about her alleged treatments.
