Emily Ratajkowski may have stepped out in one of her boldest swimsuits yet—but not all fans were on board with the daring look!
On Sunday, July 20th, the model wore a black one-piece from her Inamorata line ($160), featuring an ultra-deep plunging neckline that extended to her stomach. The thong-style halter suit was backless and cinched at the waist for a dramatic silhouette.
Fresh from the sun, she flaunted her tousled hair and gave the camera a smoldering gaze, turning up the heat with her signature confidence.

Emily Ratajkowski Wears a Bold Swimsuit
While the mother of one looked incredible, many users on Instagram thought the bikini didn’t look comfortable at all.
“It looks like she’s wearing underpants and just pulled them over her shoulders,” said one person. “Yikes. That looks uncomfortable,” wrote someone else. “That swimsuit reminds me of Borat’s chartreuse green swimsuit,” joked another person. “Can we say desperate?” commented one user.
Emily has served as the CEO of her own swimwear and lingerie brand, Inamorata, since launching it in 2017.
She has never shied away from showing skin, but has been candid about how her appearance has shaped both her self-perception and the way others view her.

Emily Ratajkowski Gets Candid on Her Body
After giving birth to her son, she noted, “It changed the surface-level relationship I had with my image and my body, where it was just this thing to be looked at, and it was either doing a good job or a bad job in that regard. Now I see it as this amazing vessel that actually knows a lot more than me in some ways.”
Her decision to show plenty of skin comes with criticism online, but she confesses, “…how I feel is I just care a whole lot less what people think.” She added, “So, if I am in a certain type of mood where I want to post something or wear something that I could be judged for because it’s quote-unquote ‘desperate,’ I’m a little bit like, ‘Well, that’s where I’m at.’ I’ve learned to prioritize my own happiness, probably because of my son. I feel I have bigger fish to fry than caring about the politics of whether or not I’m appealing to the male gaze in a given moment.”
