Gigi Hadid has always had enviable good looks; with a mom like former supermodel (and RHOBH alum) Yolanda Hadid, it was inevitable that she was always going to be genetically gifted in the looks department! (And if you don’t believe us, simply look up her first modeling job, an ad campaign for Baby Guess which she shot when she was just two years old! Yes, Gigi has always had it!)
The 26-year-old model – who welcomed her and Zayn Malik’s daughter Khai in September 2020 – has been storming the catwalks for almost a decade, but over the last few years, some fans have noticed that her face is looking a little – sometimes a lot – different to when she made her runway debut at New York Fashion Week back in 2014. Could it be the natural aging process, could it be a better makeup and skincare routine, or could the model have had some help from surgeons along the way? We don’t actually have to wonder, because we have the answers straight from the horse’s mouth…

At the start of the year, Gigi sat down with Vogue for its Beauty Secrets YouTube series to address the rumors that she may have had plastic surgery, or at least a little filler or Botox. However, the model revealed that she had “never” done anything to her face, crediting makeup artists for the subtle change in her appearance.
“When I look back on my first red carpets when I didn’t have makeup artists I would obviously do my own makeup,” she told the fashion bible at the time. “Now it’s like, people pull up those pictures and are like, ‘Oh, Gigi’s nose looks different in these pictures than now. Like, ‘This has changed on Gigi.’ It’s really like, that’s the power of makeup. Like, I’ve never done anything to my face… I would just put it everywhere. Then it just looks, it’s all one shape.” We’ve all been there – we all had that moment when we thought more was more in terms of makeup application; before we knew what contouring and highlighting really was!

Has Gigi had a nose job? And what about Botox or fillers?
Even though she has been the subject of a few plastic surgery rumors over the years, fans don’t actually think Gigi has had much done – especially when side by side before and after pictures are examined. Apart from fans going back and forth about whether she may have had rhinoplasty or a non-surgical nose job (the jury's still out!) the other thing that does always come up is in relation to her brows and cheeks. People sometimes speculate that Gigi has had Botox to change the shape and location of her brows (they're just so high and flawlessly arched!) and fillers to make her cheeks rounder. However, the model herself has shut down the rumors several times, so we guess we have to believe her?
During an Instagram Live appearance for Maybelline Cosmetics last year, Gigi addressed the ongoing speculation that she's had plastic surgery. "It’s so funny the things you see online, people think that I shape my brows really arched. If you look at baby pictures of me I’ve had these crazy arched brows since I was born," she said at the time. She added: "People think I do fillers on my face and that’s why my face is round, it’s like I’ve had these cheeks since I was born. Especially fashion month when I was already a few months preggo." So we guess that's that! We kind of WANT to believe that Gigi has had work done to make ourselves feel a little better, but we have a strong suspicion that she might *just* be that perfect. Life, as we're so often told, is so unfair!
