Gigi Hadid just graced the cover of Vogue Italia and her interesting hair transformation is causing quite the stir among fans. For the magazine shoot, the stylish supermodel, 27, is seen posing on a stool in the cover shot, donning a long-sleeved black dress and looking directly into the camera with heavily kohl-rimmed eyes. Hadid’s hair was styled in a peculiar way for the eccentric image, with her long, straight blonde hair held up fully into place, as if upside-down.

Some fans continue to praise Hadid’s “fashion forward” and “campy” look in comments under Vogue Italia and Hadid’s joint Instagram post. Others, however, are dubbing the look to be “really strange” or, as one user hilariously put it, the “Modern day Marge Simpson.”

For other pics (with the same hairstyle) from the shoot, Hadid donned outfits styled by the legendary Grace Coddington, including a Gucci tracksuit look, a white knit crop top and low-waisted Miu Miu mini skirt, various form-fitting black dresses, a skintight red leather bodysuit, and other luxury designer pieces.

While Hadid’s fans may have felt divided about her September ‘22 issue ‘do, her famous friends were more in unison with their opinions. Fellow model Olivia Culpo commented on one of Hadid’s posts that her hair was “Defying gravity!!!” with fire emojis while her sister Bella wrote that she was “obsessed” with the look.
