We’re still talking about the 66th Grammy Awards, which took place on Sunday, February 4th at the Crypto[dot]com Arena in Los Angeles. The A-listers pulled out all the stops for the Grammys red carpet, with some donning highly glamorous, chic ensembles, and others going down the ‘less is more’ sartorial route.
Many of the Grammy attendees flaunted their enviable bodies in some barely-there ensembles, but there was one trend that stood out among the rest: the pelvic cutout trend. We’re obsessed with the subtle and not-so-subtle differences a pelvic cutout can make to a dress. Check out our four favorite looks below…
Dua Lipa
The 28-year-old "Dance The Night" singer walked the red carpet in a stunning custom Courrèges gown which featured a daring plunging front and two side pelvic cutouts, just in case the super-low-cut neckline didn’t expose enough skin. She elevated her head-turning outfit with some statement Tiffany & Co. jewelry, leaving fans well and truly in awe.
Mariah Carey
The 54-year-old six-time Grammy winner did indeed wow the crowd in a dazzling figure-hugging gold Laura Basci gown with a thigh-high slit when she walked the red carpet. But her pre-Grammy gala outfit was even more seductive, if you can believe it, as the mermaid-inspired CD Greene masterpiece was covered in sequins and featured two daring side cutouts.
Paris Hilton
The mom-of-two also went down the mermaidcore route for the Grammys red carpet thanks to her stunning shimmery Reem Acra gown. It was sexy on so many levels; as well as coming in a sheer fabric, it also featured a plunging neckline and two skin-exposing pelvic cutouts on the side. She most certainly was sliving!
Heidi Klum
If you've got a supermodel body like Heidi Klum's, you would also want to show it off at every opportunity, which is why we don't blame the America's Got Talent judge for wanting to wear this spectacular Valdrin Sahiti dress. Heidi's black dress was a true work of art, adorned with silver sparkles and the most provocative cutouts at the abdomen and sides, finished off with a glamorous long train. We don't think husband Tom Kaulitz would have been able to keep his eyes off her!
