Amber (@amber_c_fitness), who lost 160 pounds through diet and exercise, shared her go-to grocery items she buys from Walmart that can help with slimming down. Some of the items she suggests are vegan hot dogs, chicken apple sausages, vanilla dessert shells, and more. Read on to learn more.

1. Lightlife Vegan Hot Dogs

Lightlife Vegan Hot Dogs have fewer calories per serving, making them a smart choice for calorie-conscious meals or even snacks. They’re also made with plant-based ingredients, providing a good source of protein that helps support muscle maintenance. They contain 60 calories per serving and 8 grams of protein.

This sweet treat is perfect for those who constantly have a sweet tooth. These are 10 calories per serving and 0 added sugars. Amber says they're "so good on desserts and in oatmeal."

This combination of banana and fudge flavors provides a satisfying dessert option that can curb cravings for high-calorie sweets like cakes or ice cream. Amber says these are “so good” and “taste like chocolate-covered bananas.”

5. Joseph's Lavash Bread

Most people think white bread is something they need to part ways with when trying to lose weight, but fear not because healthy alternatives are totally available. Joseph’s Lavash bread is best for “flatbread, pizzas, wraps, and air-fried tortilla chips.” Each serving has 6 grams of protein and 60 calories.

6. John Soules Chicken Fajitas

These chicken breast strips with rib meat have no hormones or steroids added and also contain no artificial ingredients. Amber says they’re an “easy protein source and taste amazing!”

They come with 110 calories, 2 grams of total fat, and 19 grams of protein per serving.

7. Sam's Choice Uncured Turkey Bacon

While regular bacon can be filled with unhealthy fats, Amber recommends Sam’s Uncured Turkey Bacon as a better option. This item has no nitrates or nitrites, no preservatives, and has 70% less fat “than USDA data for pork bacon.” They contain 5 grams of protein per serving and 45 calories each.

8. Sam's Choice Smoked Chicken Apple Sausage

This food is Amber’s favorite item at Walmart! Sam’s Choice makes the list again with their vegan smoked chicken apple sausage. They contain 15 grams of protein and 100 calories per serving.
