Gwen Stefani is a ska-punk girl at heart, and she sure knows how to give her classic look a hint of country flair on occasion. The eternal style icon, 52, just rocked an ensemble that blends elements of her edgy signature choices (like fishnet tights, a red lip and 90s red-and-black plaid) with DSquared knee-high cowboy boots in her latest Instagram post. Like the thousands of fans who double-tapped her pic, we too are in awe of how she can seamlessly blend different styles while making an outfit all her own.

The “Hollaback Girl” hitmaker cheekily thanked her country singer husband Blake Shelton, 45, in her caption, hinting that he inspired her style. “thank u @blakeshelton for giving me an excuse to buy these @dsquared2 cowboy boots. gx,” she wrote. Stefani’s look was composed of a black cropped tank top, denim shorts, sultry fishnet tights and a plaid, grungy cardigan.

The “Sweet Escape” singer accessorized her look with three chain necklaces and her makeup was made possible with products from her brand, GXVE Beauty. Of course, the ageless Stefani went with her staple, bold red lip, voluminous lashes and thick black eyeliner and parted her long blonde locks to the side. The former Voice coach donned this look while on the way to Shelton’s concert and we’re sure he was impressed— we and her 13.3 million IG followers certainly are!
