On Sunday, March 15th, while attending the 98th annual Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, the Goop founder wore one of the most daring dresses of the entire evening. So daring, in fact, that we are still in disbelief that she didn't have a wardrobe malfunction!
The 53-year-old Marty Supreme actress sashayed along the red carpet in what first appeared to be a dreamy ivory-colored strapless floor-length Giorgio Armani Privé gown, which looked elegant and understated at first glance. The sleek silhouette hugged her figure perfectly, and featured a chic and minimalist design that gave off classic Old Hollywood glamour.

But things changed when she started walking or turned to the side, as what was believed to be a simple, elegant gown turned out to be one of the most provocative! The gown featured bold sheer panels running along both sides of her torso, which were made from nearly invisible mesh to create the illusion of completely exposed skin. It was not for the faint hearted!
The mom-of-two accessorized with matching off-white heels and a dazzling necklace and earrings, the latter of which peeked through her blonde hair which was worn in a sleek, straight, and side-parted down do. But it didn't matter what her hair, makeup, or accessories were, because the dress unsurprisingly garnered all of the attention!

Fans flocked to social media to voice their disapproval for the dress. "She beautiful but that dress is tacky," wrote one fan on Instagram. "Tacky is right!" exclaimed a second, as a third concurred: "No class… this is the Oscars!"
"Loved her dress until I saw the side. So unnecessary. Ruins the elegance," echoed a fourth, as a fifth said: "It was the wrong dress for the event." "Enormous fail. No one needs to see all of that," criticized a sixth, as a seventh agreed: "The dress is a failure."
