Although many nutritionists and health experts will tell you that you should not go to a fast food place if you’re trying to get fit and live a healthy lifestyle. However, sometimes, with the hustle and bustle of life, it’s necessary. You simply need to know the best way to order for your well-being.

A weight loss coach and TikTok content creator, Frankie Correia, made a viral video about three “high protein” orders you can place at three of the most common fast food chains. Not only that, but he also gives you an alternative to some popular non-weight-loss-friendly orders, so you can see which swaps you should make. The orders are still filling, but give you high levels of protein for fewer calories, all while allowing you to squeeze in a fast food fix. Read more about them below.

1. Wendy's Chicken Sandwiches

In his video, Frankie stages side-by-side scenarios where one person says they're going to order a crispy chicken sandwich from the famous chain, Wendy's, and get it with some fries and a soda. While it can be crunchy, salty, and delicious, when the chicken sandwich is filled with sides that contain a ton of sodium and sugar, it can easily cause your body to pack on the pounds.

"If you want the chicken sandwich, I suggest you get it without mayo with an extra chicken patty," suggests Frankie. "Then, get the chili instead of fries and a Coke Zero."

This healthier swap order contains around 60 calories less than the original, with an impressive total of 66 grams of protein.

2. Panda Express Entrees

One of the most famous features of the Panda Express menu is that you can get a plate with two different entrees, so you can sample a few things. However, depending on what you get, it's easy to load up on calories and not get in as much protein as you'd think. Instead of getting two fried, saucy entrees with rice or noodles, Frankie has an order that incorporates some more fiber and protein.

"I'm gonna grab the grilled teriyaki chicken, with the black pepper sirloin steak, with super greens," he says.

The side of greens from Panda Express is a wonderful option for those trying to get fit and lose weight, as, instead of filling up on starchy carbs, you get sauteed broccoli, kale, and cabbage in a light garlic sauce. Doesn't that sound good? This order has around seven more grams of protein as opposed to an order filled with rice and fried food.

3. Chipotle Burritos

Chipotle's two most famous meal options are their large burritos or filling burrito bowls. While they may seem like the same thing, you really can find a way to take more control of your macros when you order a bowl instead of a tortilla-wrapped burrito.

In his video, Frankie says Chipotle "can be" a "good choice" if you need to get in some more protein, that is, if you order properly. Instead of a filling burrito with a ton of toppings, Frankie says, "Do a burrito bowl, with double chicken, with beans, rice, cheese, and fajita veggies, but no guac or sour cream."

Frankie's burrito bowl order contains around 830 calories and a whopping 83 grams of protein.

Which of these swap orders would you try first?
