Whether it's for a wedding or beach vacation, you likely make a crazy-ambitious plan to lose weight and look your best. Right? Well, it's a lot easier than it sounds.
What ends up happened (well, at least for me) is you have this idea in your head of what you're going to eat and how much you're going to work out leading up to the big event... and then pizza happens. Or dessert. Anything that makes your taste buds happy ruins it all.
Really, you shouldn't be depriving yourself. If you want a slice, go for it! Instead, try following these health and wellness tips to prepare for a big event from celeb dietitian Philip Goglia--->

Drink still water
"Drink still water, not sparkling," The Kardashians' dietitian tells Byrdie. "Try to drink minimally—1/2 ounce per pound of bodyweight daily. The max is one ounce per one pound of bodyweight daily."

Cut out dairy
Goglia recommends to skip "bread, dairy, or drink alcohol 12 days prior to the event." Instead he says, "Eat fish and vegetables only at dinner, but stay away from bloating vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, and corn."
Take an Epsom salt bath
This one is definitely OK by us! "The night before, I suggest taking an Epsom salt bath. You add 12 pounds of Epsom salt in hot bath water, soak for 20 minutes, wash off in cold water, go to bed, and wake up leaner!" Sounds relaxing.

Do some cardio
Even if you're not going hard, any sort of workout once a day is good for you. "Do one hour of cardio daily, six days a week—alternative static heart cardio with dynamic interval pattern cardio every other day. And, of course, drink one liter of water while exercising." Don't forget the H2O!

Apply Preparation H (yes, really)
"Use small amounts of Preparation H under your eyes, back of legs, and under your chin two nights before and the night before an event to help tighten skin," Goglia says. Hey, don't knock it until you've tried it!
