Hugh Jackman has been in the headlines a lot these days, not necessarily because of his film career, but because of his love life.
The Greatest Showman actor recently made a rare public appearance with his new girlfriend, Broadway star Sutton Foster, for a show in New York City, marking one of the first new pictures of them since his ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, made angry statements about their split. Now, sources are stating that the actor is ready to “make peace” with his ex, given that he’s in a new relationship and more time has passed since they initially called off their marriage. Read more about his new appearance below.
Hugh Jackman & Sutton Foster Step Out In Coordinating Outfits For A Date In NYC
One of the most trending couples right now is arguably the Wolverine star and his girlfriend, Sutton Foster, who performed alongside him in The Music Man on Broadway. Not only are they a powerful duo talent-wise, but they are the center of Hugh's latest divorce drama, after he officially called off his long-term relationship with his ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, a fellow Australian actress whom he was married to for nearly 30 years.
For their public date, the new couple wore coordinating outfits as they stepped out for a date night at a show in NYC. They attended Richard Marx's After Hours Confessions show at Café Carlyle and posed for pictures with the singer-songwriter afterward. Hugh was photographed in a sleek blue-gray suit with a white button-down underneath, as Sutton wore a long-sleeved, white dress that hugged her frame. You can see photos from their night here!
This was a big deal, as the pair only started officially posing together as a couple more recently, despite rumors of them having an affair while the Oscar nominee was still married, and Deborra-Lee made a public statement about his "betrayal."

Sources Say Hugh Jackman Is Ready To 'Make Peace' With Deborra-Lee Furness Amid Affair Rumors
Given that Hugh and Deborra-Lee first broke up in 2023, and around two years have passed, one would think that things might've settled down. However, that's not quite the case, as there's still a lot of drama and rumors circulating around their divorce that have the internet and Deborra-Lee herself buzzing.
Earlier this year, she called the end of their marriage "a traumatic betrayal" that "cut deep," leading many to presume that Hugh and Sutton might've begun seeing each other while he was still married, given how closely they worked on Broadway and how quickly they made their relationship debut.
Amid all the chaos, new sources have come forward to claim that the actor is doing what he can to "make peace" with his ex, especially since they share two adult children together.
"Hugh has been trying to make peace with Debs for a long while now, but as you can imagine, it has taken her time to feel ready," an insider told Radar Online. "Settling all the legal stuff seems to have helped because she's finally coming around - they've gotten together a couple of times in New York recently to talk things out."
The source also noted, "It's been two years now since they officially separated. It really is time to let the hatred and anger go."
