Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness‘ divorce, which came after 27 years of marriage, came as a shock to everyone, including Deborra-Lee herself.
Not only was Deborra-Lee shocked by the divorce, but she was reportedly also “blindsided” by the allegations that her ex was having an affair with his Music Man co-star Sutton Foster while they were still together – and that some of their Hollywood friends knew about it way before she did!
Hugh Jackman And Sutton Foster Go On A Romantic Getaway After His Divorce From Deborra-Lee Furness Is Finalized
The Greatest Showman star's reputation took a hit after the affair allegations. And things appear to be getting worse for his image, as insiders reportedly told Us Weekly that he and the Younger actress took themselves on a romantic "little getaway" to the Canyon Ranch wellness resort in Lenox, Massachusetts just as the divorce was being finalized.
This has unsurprisingly left a bad taste in many people's mouths, as they have slammed the Deadpool & Wolverine actor for flaunting his new relationship while his ex-wife has been very open about how much she is struggling with the divorce, as well as the "betrayal" caused by the alleged affair.
"My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal," Deborra-Lee wrote in a statement, before calling her divorce "a profound wound that cuts deep." She also revealed that she believes in a "higher power," and said that her faith has helped her "navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage."

Internet Reactions
The internet did not hesitate to slam both Hugh and Sutton! "Lost all respect for him and for her too," slammed one person on a Page Six Instagram post, also asking: "Why is their getaway news?" "No respect for this guy," echoed a second, as a third asked: "Why glorify adultery?"
"Two aging cheaters," criticized a fourth, this time in the comment section of a Page Six article. "I don't like anything about this/them. He dumped his wife for Sutton Foster and now he's flaunting it. I don't like it I no longer like him," commented a fifth.
