It sounds like Ivanka Trump still has hopes of Washington in mind. Rumor has it that Donald Trump’s senior White House adviser (and daughter) still has political aspirations despite her father losing the election and inciting a riot on the Capitol. Apparently, she may be Marco Rubio‘s latest competition for his Florida Senate seat.

Jared Kushner, Ivanka's husband, has reportedly been playing a role in supporting Ivanka's political goals. A source told Politico, Kushner is "working single-mindedly to protect and promote his wife’s 'political career.'"
A GOP fundraiser explained, "He's calling people and trying to line them up saying Rubio is terrible, worthless, he's probably going to lose, Ivanka is going to go there and we should all get together and pledge our support to her and get her to run."
However, another source insists that any calls going on were for the Georgia race.
Tommy Davis, an adviser to Trump ally and mega donor Tom Barrack, explained, "Maybe people are getting confused because we did as much work as we could for the Senate Leadership Fund for the Georgia race. But that was before Christmas. But, no, nothing about Ivanka and nothing about Marco."
Jason Miller, a senior adviser to the former president, has also commented on Ivanka's political future, explaining that her potential as a political candidate was uncovered as a result of her helping in her father's administration.
He explained, "Ivanka only got into politics to help her father and help his agenda but what’s now clear is that Ivanka is a political powerhouse in her own right."
The rumors of these political goals have even reached Rubio.
According to The Guardian, when Chris Wallace, Fox News Sunday host, asked Rubio about his potential opponent, he had nothing bad to say about Ivanka. Wallace asked, "How seriously do you take Ivanka Trump as a potential opponent?"
Rubio responded, "Well, I, I, I don’t really get into the parlour games of Washington."
He continued, "When you decide to run for re-election in a state like Florida, you have to be prepared for a competitive race, you run it like a competitive race, so that’s what I’m preparing to run, a very competitive race against a tough opponent."
"I don’t own the Senate seat, it doesn’t belong to me. If I want to be back in the US Senate I have to earn that every six years," Rubio added.
Eventually, he did mention Ivanka by name, saying that he "liked" the former White House adviser. He explained, "I like Ivanka, and we worked very well together on issues."
Whether he'd like the former First Daughter as a political opponent (of if he'd prefer that she stays at 'Billionaire Bunker') remains to be seen.
