During her red carpet walk, Fonda stopped to chat with Lilly Singh, one of the red carpet hosts, but the interview went a bit sour. Despite being up for the prestigious award, the philanthropist seemingly was not excited, and answered most of Singh’s questions with “I don’t know” and other curt responses.
There were also long pauses after each question, which made things slightly awkward, and seemed to be glaring at Singh while she was speaking. At different points, she also snapped at the interview, saying things like “I never said that” and “Those were your words, not mine.”
