Jason Momoa Shaves His Beard To Promote His Company In A New Video
Aside from starring in epic sci-fi and action roles, the Game of Thrones performer has begun a new business venture and now owns his own line of water bottles. With a goal to eliminate single-use plastics, which many major brands of water bottles are, he collaborated with Boomerang Water. With them, he started Mananalu Water, a reusable water bottle and refilling system brand. The bottles are made from reusable materials, can be refilled using an eco-friendly system, and every bottle you purchase removes the equivalent of a single-use bottle from the ocean, according to their website.
In order to promote Mananalu, he decided to post a video that he knew would get people's attention. For an upcoming role in the third Dune movie, he needed to shave his beard, and shared the footage of him doing the deed, which immediately went viral on Instagram. As he shaved his long mustache and beard, Jason narrated how uncomfortable he was with seeing it go.
"I hate it," he says while looking at the results.
Once he finished, the 46-year-old looked like a completely different person, and while he may have hated it, some internet users loved the clean face look.

After his viral video was shared on Instagram, fans left numerous comments. As Jason admitted, it was the first time he shaved his face in six years, so not many of his fans had the opportunity to see his clean-shaven face in a while. It was an especially drastic transformation, considering his styled facial hair is such a signature part of his look. There were mixed reactions, as many fans loved his long beard and mustache, while others didn't mind seeing him go, and actually thought he looked better without them.
"Now our dear Jason has shaved off his beautiful beard...but he's still as handsome as ever," commented a fan.
"He looks 10 years younger," wrote another.
"You look handsome either way, I am a huge fan of the beard, however!" added another.
