Jennifer Lawrence Re-Homes Her Dog After Bite
In a video taken at the Q&A for Die My Love, Lawrence explains why she made the tough decision to re-home her dog after welcoming two baby boys into her family. "She's alive, she's with my parents," she prefaced. "She did not like New York. I lived on 1st and 67th just to be near the park for her. After I had a kid, dogs became so scary."
"My son's going up to it and it's almost like I don't recognize dogs right now," she continued. "I just see them as a threat. One of them bit my son and that just made me want to obliterate every dog ever."
"Having children changes everything, it changes your whole life," she added.
Social Media Comes To Her Defense
Many fans were quick to criticize, leaving comments on social media like, "This is very unfortunate and very disappointing," and "Jen did not pass the vibe test," but others came to her defense.
"We don't know the situation," one person said. "If she felt her dogs were unsafe around children, we should not be judging a mother and a decision she made for the safety of her children. A parent should ALWAYS choose her child’s safety."
"First of all she gave it to her parents," another person pointed out. "Second of all, I LOVE my dogs. But if it’s in between my dogs and the safety of my baby… PEOPLE, I’ll choose my child every time!"
"Protect kids at all costs!" a final fan said.
