It’s official – Jennifer Lopez is a married lady, as she and Ben Affleck, 49, tied the knot in an intimate – and surprise – wedding ceremony at the iconic Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 16th! We definitely weren’t expecting this to happen so soon, especially as they only announced their engagement in April this year, but we couldn’t be happier for the newlyweds!

The 52-year-old Marry Me actress took to Instagram and teased fans with the news on Sunday, July 17th, sharing a picture of herself lying in bed with her wedding ring not-so-subtly on display. She captioned it, “Sadie! #iykyk Go to OnTheJLo for all the deets. #linkinbio,” in reference to the line, “Sadie, Sadie, married lady,” from Funny Girl. As promised, the On The JLo newsletter did not disappoint! Inside the newsletter, which had the headline, “We did it,” and was signed Jennifer Lynn Affleck (*Omg!*) J-Lo shared some pictures from the wedding, and also wrote: “Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient.”
“So with the best witnesses you could ever imagine, a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben’s closet, we read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives,” her emotional message continued. She added: “They even had Bluetooth for a (short) march down the aisle. But in the end it was the best possible wedding we could have imagined. One we dreamed of long ago and one made real (in the eyes of the state, Las Vegas, a pink convertible and one another) at very, very long last.” We’re not crying, you’re crying!

The “On My Way” singer also revealed that she actually wore two dresses for the big day, choosing a simple dress that she said she had in her closet for years to start, and then changing into a stunning white lace off-the-shoulder Zuhair Murad bridal gown, complete with a sweetheart neckline, a corset bodice, and long sleeves, not to mention a fishtail train and a matching veil. She looked incredible in both, and we are so grateful that she shared some of the pictures with her fans!
The new Mrs Affleck went into more detail about the first of her two wedding dresses, telling fans that she actually had it for years and was saving it for a special occasion. And there’s nothing more special than your own wedding day; are we right?! “I’ve had this dress for so many years, and I’ve just been saving it, saving it, saving it, and now I’m wearing it on my wedding day,” she said in an emotional video clip while wearing the dress, which her hairstylist Chris Appleton also shared to his own Instagram account.

"Last minute feelings before the wedding..." Appleton captioned the post, followed by a church emoji at the end. And as expected, J-Lo's fans instantly flocked to the comments section to rave about the stunning bride, including her gorgeous hair and her flawless makeup, and of course, the dress, which one fan described as "Very traditional and Classy."
"Her hair hair color is absolutely gorgeous!" exclaimed one fan. "Love that hair color on her," agreed another. "Prettiest bride ever," commented another fan, followed by the heart eyes and the red heart emojis. "Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Affleck! You look stunning!
