You’d have to be living under a rock to not have heard the news that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez recently reunited to become the power couple we didn’t know we needed nearly 17 years after they initially called off their engagement. The pair already embarked on a romantic getaway together and have been seen leaving one another’s homes on multiple occasions, so it’s safe to say that things are going well. However, the relationship seems to be on the fast track back to where they left off, with recent news alleging that the pair are getting increasingly serious following Lopez’s split from ex-fiance Alex Rodriguez.

According to sources close to Lopez, the couple are getting back to where they left off in 2004, but Lopez’s two children will remain her priority. The 51-year-old singer shares two children with her ex-husband Marc Anthony--twins, Max and Emme (13). Affleck also has three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, who is said to be unbothered by the rekindled relationship.

The source revealed to Page Six, “She has to ensure that she is taking her children into account,” but Lopez is allegedly wondering if “lighting can strike” again in the romance department after three unsuccessful marriages. Affleck and Lopez initially began dating back in 2002 when they met on the set of the movie Gigli. The pair took their relationship to the next level, getting engaged later that year, but called it off in 2004 before they both went on to marry other partners.

“She’s 51 and has always put importance on chemistry,” the source continued. “She’s wondering how many times lightning can strike. She feels like he has grown since they were together.” Since the pair have reunited they’ve put on a loved up display, traveling to Miami together, as well as a number of romantic dinner dates in Hollywood. Will this be the fairytale ending they’ve been looking for?
