Jennifer Lopez Posts Selfies In A Blonde Wig Behind The Scenes Of 'Kiss Of The Spiderwoman'
The "On The Floor" singer has continually taken on more movie projects since some of her biggest hits, like Selena, The Wedding Planner, The Backup Plan, and more. While she's been touring and performing a lot more, she's back on the film scene after beginning to promote her latest project, a movie-musical based on the 1970s Broadway musical, Kiss OF The Spiderwoman.
The musical follows two prisoners who, during their time behind bars, reminisce on a Hollywood movie plot and a glamorous actress, Ingrid Luna, who is played by Jennifer. The role requires her to sing, dance, and channel an old Hollywood movie star, which has her taking on several looks. In teaser photos in trailers, she can be seen taking on all sorts of looks, from a short black pixie cut to long blonde curls. In a new Instagram post, the mom-of-two shared photos of herself in a light blonde wig on set for one of Ingrid's many characters, Aurora, and wrote a heartfelt message about her time filming.
"Stepping into the role of Aurora felt like dancing through the golden age of cinema…with all the glitz, glamour, and a whole lot of dancing," she wrote. "Stepping back into time has never been so much fun."
Fans React To Jennifer's Blonde Hair On Instagram
Once 'J-Lo' shared the pictures of herself in her old-school blonde hairstyle on Instagram, her fans immediately began freaking out in the comments, unable to get over how different she looks with the lighter shade. While some prefer her darker, naturally brunette hair, others felt like this was a color she should consider keeping.
"That hair color and makeup look super nice on her," commented a fan. "[She] looks younger, too."
"You look amazing!" added another.
"I can't wait to meet Ingrid Luna!" commented a fan. "I know you worked so hard and poured your whole heart into this project."
Other fans and internet users couldn't get over how much the pinup blonde hairstyle reminded them of another blonde icon, the frontwoman of No Doubt and solo artist, Gwen Stefani.
"I thought this was Gwen Stefani!" commented several fans.
"Insane how much you look like Gwen Stefani here," added another.
"That's Gwen Stefani for sure," joked one.
While we have yet to see Jennifer acknowledge the similarities between her and Gwen while she stepped into her 'Aurora' character, we're excited to see the public's reaction to her performance in the rest of the film, which comes out on October 10th.
