Jessica Chastain turned heads last week as she graced the Museum Of Modern Art Film Benefit red carpet in a strapless, lace-adorned, icy blue gown. At the event, the Oscar winner, 45, stunned with the help of an Armani Privé Spring 2014 piece that helped highlight her epic figure and tiny waist.

The soiree was held at the Museum Of Modern Art in New York City, presented by Chanel and honoring director Guillermo del Toro, who Chastain worked with on his 2015 horror film, Crimson Peak. The moment marked yet another stunning red carpet style moment from Chastain, who looked as elegant as ever in the lacy garment.

Chastain’s dress featured a low-cut, sweetheart, strapless neckline, waist emphasis, and flowing, pleated, lacy fabric in a captivating light blue hue that complimented her skin tone. The Eyes of Tammy Faye star’s piece also shined with the help of shimmering sequins and exquisite frilly details as an ethereal long train followed her every step.

The Scenes from a Marriage actress wore her signature long, fiery red locks down, parted in the middle and styled straight. For her makeup, Chastain went for a 60s-esque eye look composed of glittery eyeshadow, thick, black liner, sky-high lashes, rosy blush and radiant highlighter, and a coral lipstick color to tie it all together.

Later on during the night, Chastain took the stage to pay homage to del Toro, saying, “We are lucky to live in a moment where his imagination is running rampant.” She continued, with tears in her eyes, “Because the worlds he conjured throughout his career are so indelible, so unique to him, so sure to outlast the ages, and what’s more, each of these worlds is incredibly different from movie to movie, and he fully manifests them from the bottom up.”

Chastain Channels Tammy Wynette On George & Tammy

Chastain currently stars as country legend Tammy Wynette in the 6-part Showtime series, George & Tammy, beside Michael Shannon, who portrays George Jones. The show’s plot follows the marriage and music careers of the two singers, and both actors contribute their own vocals as well as acting talents (confirming that Chastain truly is a triple threat!)

As noted by The Hollywood Reporter, Chastain has been attached to this musical project since 2011 when it was first in talks to become a film. The Good Nurse actress also served as a producer on the series, and the network revealed that 3.3 million tuned in for its December 4th premiere, making it the “most-watched original series debut” in Showtime history.

While sitting down with E! News last month, Chastain said, “It’s introducing George and Tammy to a whole new generation of people.” The star, who spent time in Nashville and researched country music history added,”I’m hoping our show brings them back into the conversation.”
