Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson are reportedly living separate lives at the moment, with their ten-year marriage “hanging on by a thread” if we are to believe insiders.
This shock confession comes as their tenth wedding anniversary on July 14th strangely went unacknowledged on social media, which raised eyebrows at the time due to how often the multi-hyphenate marks big milestones on the platform.
What was even more eyebrow raising was the fact that the Open Book author posted about her three kids’ return to school on social media earlier this month, but made no comment about their father! On September 6th, Simpson shared a carousel of pictures with their daughter Maxwell, 12, son Ace, 11, and daughter Birdie, 5, with the caption: “I’m so very proud of y’all for individually shining your light so that in return others feel the glow. Y’all make your mom beam with smiles and grace!”

Several insiders reportedly spoke to Life & Style about where the Newlyweds alum, 44, and the former NFL star, 45, currently stand; and it doesn’t sound good!
According to the insiders, there are rumors that the couple are “on a break” and have been living separate lives, as they have been going through a “rough patch” in their marriage. This is reportedly partly caused by alleged money problems and the clothing designer‘s alleged “anxiety” about her appearance.
“Jessica hasn’t been wearing her ring, and there are rumors they are on a break,” one insider spilled.

Jessica And Eric's Friends Think A Divorce Could Be On The Cards
The insider went on to say that many of their friends are aware of their alleged marriage problems, and think a divorce could very well be on the cards. "Their marriage seems to be hanging on by a thread," they said, while another source said that Jessica's obsession with her appearance is harming their relationship.
"She doesn't leave the house without professional makeup, and she always looks like she's recovering from some kind of cosmetic procedure," the second source shared, before going on to say that Jessica – who underwent an epic 100-lb weight loss transformation – and Eric don't see eye to eye when it comes to her obsession with her appearance.
The source said: "He's a relaxed, laid-back guy. Jessica still has an incredible amount of anxiety around her appearance, and Eric isn't equipped to help her through those issues."
And speaking of friends – Jessica and Eric reportedly don't see their friends as often as they used to, which has also understandably caused concern.
The second source described the Dukes of Hazzard actress as "reclusive," and recalled how she will regularly go "days on end" without leaving their home.
"Friends are puzzled over their withdrawal from their social circle," the second source told the outlet, adding that they won't even go to "the least demanding social commitments on their calendar."
