Meghan Trainor and Jimmy Fallon appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Nov. 27th and performed their new holiday single, a catchy tune called “Wrap Me Up.” Amid faux Christmas trees and wrapped presents, the pair performed their comedic holiday song that fans are calling “a new Christmas classic!”
The pair have been good friends since the singer appeared on The Tonight Show in 2016 to perform her new single, “Me Too.” The performance went viral, but not because of the song—Trainor hilariously fell during the performance and Fallon decided to lay down next to her—and the rest is history. Meghan Trainor & Jimmy Fallon’s new holiday song
The duet features Jimmy and Meghan singing call-and-response lyrics, with Jimmy asking what he’s getting for Christmas and Meghan cheekily not revealing what his present is until the chorus:
“Is it a drone? No / A new razor? Nuh-uh / Is it a fancy manscraper with the laser? Uh-uh / A Maserati? Bugatti? No / Man, I thought I had it” the pre-chorus goes. Then, the chorus comes and Meghan reveals that she herself is the present:
“Come on and wrap me up / Wrap me up, baby / Give me the nice list / I know you’ve been waiting / Yeah, I’m a nice gift / And I know how to shake it!”
For their performance, the duo coordinated their festive outfits, with Jimmy in a dark red velvet suit and Meghan in a bright red dress adorned with Christmas trees, hearts, snowflakes, wreaths, peppermint candies, and a special call-out to her sons, Riley and Barry. The outfit also features a gold waist-cinching belt and a large bow across the bust.

Jimmy reveals the story behind the song
The same day, Jimmy posted a video to his own Instagram account explaining how they ended up writing "Wrap Me Up." "We always wanted to do something together," Jimmy explained. "I go, 'I kind of have this idea called 'Wrap It Up,' like wrapping up a Christmas present." He sent Trainor a video of him singing, just to get the idea across.
When Meghan responded, she said, "Jimmy I like the idea, but here's kind of what I was working on." Jimmy then went on to explain that after going back and forth, they decided to hop on FaceTime and write it together.
"We FaceTimed with each other and wrote the song in an hour and half," he said. "I think it turned out to be a really great song. I love it, so please enjoy it."
