Swifties were shocked after news broke in April that Taylor Swift and actor Joe Alwyn had called it quits after six years together. Fans were equally surprised weeks later when rumors emerged that she had already moved on, and allegedly began dating The 1975 frontman Matty Healy.
Now, after Swift and Healy’s whirlwind romance reportedly came to an end, insiders dished to Radar that Alwyn was upset by Swift’s decision to date the fellow Brit shortly after their breakup.
Last month, Swift released a new song, “You’re Losing Me” that seems to be about her and Alwyn’s split, and according to the sources who spoke to the outlet, Alwyn didn’t think Swift would give him the “Harry Styles treatment,” (or writing music about him soon after they broke up). “It may have been delusional, but Joe was under the impression she’d spare him the Harry Styles treatment,” an insider said.

The 33-year-old “Anti-Hero” hitmaker had been somewhat open with fans about her relationship with the Favourite actor over the years. This meant dropping little Easter eggs that suggested her songs were about him, gushing over him in her Netflix documentary Miss Americana, and Swift even recently dished that the two had written music together during the pandemic.
In early April, many publications began reporting that Swift and Alwyn had broke up just before she headed on her Eras Tour. One source told Entertainment Tonight: "Taylor and Joe are in totally different places in their lives right now."
They added, at the time: "It was more of Taylor’s decision to break up, but both of them realized that they weren’t completely right for one another. They had been together for such a long time and were spending so much time together, but their personalities were just too different. Joe is more introverted, shy and quiet."
Rumors of Swift and Healy going out went viral in early May on Twitter after The Sun reported that the two were newly "dating." According to the newspaper, Swift and Healy started seeing each other after their long-term friendship supposedly blossomed into a romantic relationship.
Now that that's apparently over, a source noted to Radar recently that Alwyn found the whole thing to be "very embarrassing and disappointing — especially when she’s flaunting this tacky new romance."
The insider went on: "The hypocrisy and sheer rudeness of it all is off the charts. He’s not the type to kiss and tell, but he’s not a pushover either. He’s respectfully asking her to let him move on — and shut up!"
One other source recently sat down with People Magazine, and explained that Swift and Healy (who were spotted together during multiple outings and locking lips in the past few weeks) are not dating anymore. "She had fun with him, but it was always casual," the source said, adding, "They are no longer romantically involved."
As for Alwyn, the Conversations with Friends star stepped out at Cannes Film Festival last week looking dapper.
Attending a Celine dinner hosted by Hedi Slimane, Alwyn donned a sleek black suit and satin shirt, accessorizing his get-up with black sunglasses and a gold chain necklace.
He made his first public appearance since the breakup in style, and both Swift and Healy are currently embarking on successful tours.
