Julianne Hough wowed her Instagram followers with a brand new ‘do — that she helped create herself!
In a new video for her 5.2 million followers, the Dancing with the Stars host, 35, proudly flaunted a new choppier and shorter hairstyle, where she sat in a salon chair with stylist Riawna Capri.
As Capri handed Hough the scissors, she encouraged the dancer to take the first snip, resulting in a bold new look.

Hough then proceeded to cut more strands and said: "Oh, that’s so fun! I like this length." The Footloose actress continued, while revamping her long, wavy, center-parted blonde tresses: "This is the new way, guys. You come in and you cut your own hair. Well, at least I don’t second guess and I just go for it."
While donning a chic white turtleneck sweater and tan trousers, the Broadway alum then gave her followers a better look at her "seven-minute haircut."
In her caption, Hough noted that her new cut symbolized a "new season" in her life. The Safe Haven star added: "Out with the old energy, and in with the new."
Hough then told fans that the day before her haircut, it was "raining so hard." Then, she said "the sun was shining and there was a double rainbow," which she thought was a symbol of "cleansing" and "prosperity," or a divinely timed hair refresh!
The style icon wrote: "It made me start to think about the seasons of life, and the decisions we make as we progress." The television personality went on: "Hair is such an outward expression of what those decisions are . . . of the internal journeys that we go through." Hough concluded: "It just felt like it was the right time to cut off some of the old energy and start fresh."

After the video cut off, Capri assumed responsibility and finished the chop. The next day, on the Creative Arts Emmys red carpet event, Hough revealed her radiant and flattering chin-length bob that had been crafted for her.
Hough showed off her sleek black gown and event ensemble the next day, while also continuing to highlight her new hair. "Keeping things short & sweet," she wrote. Love it!
