However, other than a career transformation, he’s also been through a new physical transformation and is sporting a new style that fans aren’t so sure about.
The “Daisies” singer was recently sporting a scruffy beard and shaved head, which is a very different look than what he’s worn over the years, including his signature swoopy hair or grown-out locks. Some fans showed concern when they saw the dad-of-one with the new look, commenting on how it’s not the most flattering style on him, and worried that they’re wondering if his mental health is doing alright after everything he’s been through. The record-breaking artist has been non-stop over the last few months, after a hiatus from the spotlight, where he was focusing on his mental and physical health, as well as helping to raise his and his wife, Hailey Bieber's, son, Jack. He returned with a lot of new music, a new attitude, and even a new look.
After the success of his surprise 'comeback' album, Swag, the singer-songwriter unexpectedly dropped a follow-up album just weeks later, Swag II, and was pictured sporting a new haircut and facial hair style just hours before sending the new songs out into the world. Hours before releasing Swag II on September 5th, Justin was photographed riding in the back of a car with the windows down, where he could be seen with a buzz cut.
He also had a very scruffy, rather thick beard and mustache that went all the way up to the middle of his cheeks. He had on some early 2000s-coded sunglasses, a white tank top, and had a star-shaped blemish patch on his forehead, giving off very casual vibes. You can see the pictures of him here.
Fans React To Justin's New Look On Social Media
Once fans and other internet users saw the pictures of Justin with his facial hair and buzzcut, they were certainly taken aback, as he hadn't quite sported a look so drastically different from the rest of his hairstyles. At the height of his career, he was known for his signature swoopy hair; then, for some phases, he grew it out and occasionally dyed it. While he's also had a buzzcut before, seeing it paired with the slightly grown-out, shaggier beard was shocking.
On social media, fans and other users shared their opinion on the look, with some even getting a little worried about the singer, concerned that he may be struggling with his mental health again, as he's been relatively open about how he's had dark moments with the state of his mental well-being.
"Fame really messed him up," commented an Instagram user.
"He had so much potential to become a handsome man," added another, as one fan wrote he looked "unrecognizable."
"He's looking rough," wrote a fan, as one added that the photo "doesn't even look like him."
While he hasn't made any official statements about not doing well, fans are continuing to look out for the pop singer, hoping that he's likely just experimenting with some new looks as he releases new tracks.
