Justin Bieber performed at the 2026 Grammy Awards in the most Justin Bieber way possible.
On Sunday, Feb. 1, the 31-year-old singer took the stage to perform “Yukon,” which was nominated for Best R&B Performance, wearing just a pair of purple silk gym shorts from his solo fashion brand, SKYLRK. The shorts matched his guitar, and he completed the look with black socks—baring his abs, toned arms, and signature tattoos.
Justin Bieber Wears Boxers And Socks On Grammys Stage
The moment was highly anticipated, as Bieber hadn’t performed at the Grammys since 2022. This year marked a major return for the artist, who earned four nominations in total, including Album of the Year (SWAG), Best Pop Vocal Album (SWAG), Best Pop Solo Performance (“Daises”), and Best R&B Performance (“Yukon”).
The outfit change came as a surprise, as Justin had earlier arrived on the red carpet with his wife, Hailey Bieber, in coordinated black looks. Justin opted for an oversized black Balenciaga suit paired with black dress shoes.
He kept accessories minimal, wearing a 100-carat Lorraine Schwartz necklace and his signature nose ring. The Rhode founder complemented him in a strapless black Alaïa gown featuring sheer panels at the hips and a subtle train that revealed a hint of her pointed black heels. She finished the look with sleek, custom Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, her signature slicked-back bun, and a warm brown lip. Both also wore “ICE Out” pins, which several celebrities have been sporting to protest recent ICE raids.
Hailey radiated pride as she cheered on her husband while he performed on stage.

Internet Reacts To Justin Bieber's Performance
Online, fans had plenty to say—not just about his outfit, but also about his performance, which drew widespread praise from both admirers and casual viewers alike.
Fans on Reddit were quick to praise Bieber’s performance, with many agreeing that his vocals overshadowed everything else—including his unconventional outfit.
“One thing about Bieber.. he can and will humble me every time he opens his mouth to sing like just ridiculously good for no reason,” one fan wrote. Another added, “Every once in a while Bieber reminds you that he didn’t get famous for no reason. The man can sing for sure.”
Others applauded his longevity in the industry, with one user noting, “I honestly give him credit for managing to stay relevant all these years. Most people like him would’ve fizzled out long ago.” Another chimed in, “Honestly the fit doesn’t matter when you sound THAT good.”
Several comments focused purely on his raw talent, including, “vocals are still insane wow,” and, “He’s so unbelievably talented, soooo much natural talent.”
Despite the buzz around his return, Bieber’s album SWAG ultimately went home empty-handed, losing in all four nominated categories. Album of the Year (SWAG) was awarded to Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos, while Best Pop Vocal Album went to Lady Gaga’s Mayhem. His track “Daisies” lost Best Pop Solo Performance to Lola Young’s “Messy,” and Best R&B Performance for “Yukon” was claimed by Kehlani’s “Folded.” Even so, his performance stood out as one of the night’s biggest highlights, and the internet couldn’t stop talking about it.
Up next, the father of one is set to take the Coachella stage on April 11 and April 18, 2026.
