Selena and Benny went public with their relationship last December and have been loving each other out loud ever since. Selena has said time and time again that Benny is the best thing that's ever happened to her and that she's never been happier, and with the huge smile on her face in all of her engagement photos, it's not hard to see that it's true.
In her post, she included photos of her diamond ring, a photo of Benny hugging her from behind as she holds up her ring, and a selfie of her ring hand in front of her face, grinning from ear to ear. She captioned the photo "forever begins now.." and has accumulated over 21M likes on her post in just two days.
Justin Bieber Reacts To Selena Gomez Engagement
One of those likes belongs to Hailey Bieber, wife of Selena's long-time ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber. Selena and Justin dated on and off from 2010 to 2018, even living together at one point. Though basically the whole world was rooting for them (and some dedicated fans still are), they ultimately couldn't make it work. However, both are doing just fine: Justin Bieber married Hailey Baldwin in 2018 and they now share a baby boy, and of course, Selena is happily engaged to producer Benny Blanco.
Still, many fans were waiting to hear Bieber's reaction to the news. According to insiders, Selena's engagement marks the "end of an era" for him. "Justin is married and has a kid, we all know that but when he heard that Selena was engaged, he'll even admit, it stung for a brief second," the insider explained. "Because even though they will never be friends or date again or anything like that, it is the end of an era."
