Kate Hudson Rocks Shimmering Chrome Hearts Dress With Sheer Overlay Detailing

During her Tonight Show appearance, the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days actress rocked a long-sleeved, floor-length black gown from Chrome Hearts that featured shimmering fabric, a central cut-out that bared her sculpted midriff, and two thigh-high slits that showcased her enviable legs. With this standout piece, Hudson paired strappy, peep-toe black sandal heels and accessorized her glittery get-up with shiny silver rings and dangly earrings.

The Bride Wars alum wore her signature long blonde tresses down, parted to the side and styled into elegant, loose waves. As for makeup, Hudson went for timeless black liner, sparkling silver eyeshadow, voluminous lashes, a dab of rosy blush on her high cheekbones, and topped it all off with a glossy nude lip.

Hudson posted a photo collection for her 16.1 million Instagram followers that showed her dress at different angles, in all of its illuminating and figure-hugging glory. Naturally, fans couldn’t get enough, and left comments to hype up her look. “Stunning!!!!” one user wrote, adding, “Love this dress” while someone else chimed in, commenting, “That DRESS. You never cease to amaze me.” (We couldn’t agree more!)

Hudson Talks Knives Out Sequel, Almost Famous On Broadway And Releasing New Music

While fans may have had glimpses of Hudson’s singing talents in her films, the Something Borrowed star revealed to host Jimmy Fallon that she is planning on releasing a record in 2023! “I love to sing,” Hudson said, adding, “I feel weird saying it… I’ve been making a record for like a year. It’s so fun.”

She continued, noting that she had an epiphany during the pandemic and realized she wanted to make music. “Every time you’re doing interviews, people are like ‘Do you have any regrets?’ And I’m like, ‘I’m early 40s, not yet,'” she said with a smile. “But during Covid, I was like: ‘What am I doing?'”

Hudson then explained that she has been writing songs for decades, and feels ready to put her music out there, officially. “I’ve been writing music since I was 19 and I’ve never shared it and so I thought that would be one of my great regrets,” Hudson said. “I have no expectations. I just want to put a record out and so I’m doing it and I’m really excited. I can’t wait.” (We can’t either!)

Hudson also discussed her role in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, which will be able to stream via Netflix on December 23rd and serves as the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2019 murder mystery film Knives Out. She described her character Birdie to be “very uncensored,” “bold,” and “flamboyant.”

The mom of three also reminisced filming her breakthrough role as Penny Lane in 2001’s Almost Famous, and acknowledged that the film was recently adapted into a Broadway musical. (And many fans can’t imagine anyone else as Penny Lane!)
