Pink, without a doubt, reigns as the current color of the year for fashion. It can be seen on celebrities, walking the runways, on displays at shops, and online platforms. With the Barbie movie releasing this summer on July 21, the film seems to have amplified the trend (especially with all the Mattel-inspired looks Margot Robbie has been wearing lately!). Everyone and their mother seems to be entering their pink era—and Kate Middleton is no exception! Whether by design or coincidence, the Princess of Wales, has demonstrated a new love for the color over the past few weeks.
Hot, blush, bubblegum, or simple pink, Kate wears them all in every style. She has stepped out in five different Barbiecore looks since May, rocking everything from a pastel pink trouser suit to a glittering sequined evening gown in the rosy shade. Take a look at all of the pink outfits she’s donned (so far) this summer.
Two-Toned Pink Dress By ME+EM At The Chelsea Flower Show
At the Chelsea Flower Show, a star-studded event in London that displays "cutting-edge garden design, new plants and find ideas to take home," Kate made an unexpected appearance. She attended the show on Monday, May 22nd and delighted attendees in a two-toned bubblegum pink shirt dress.
The silky dress, which was from ME+EM, consisted of two Barbiecore hues, a light and a hot pink. It featured long sleeves, a crisp collar, a pleated design, buttons all the way down, a long hemline, and a hot pink silk belt to cinch her waist. She’s worn this gorgeous dress before for another public engagement in May 2021.
On this occasion at the Chelsea Flower Show, Kate paired her long two-toned pink dress with Castañer Carina Wedges in a tan hue to give her ensemble a more casual vibe. She also accessorized with Catherine Zoraida Fern Drop Earrings, gold earrings that resembled leaves.
The entire outfit was perfect for the laid-back picnic she had with a group of schoolchildren at the flower shower. This special gathering was part of the RHS Campaign for School Gardening. This program emphasized the importance of gardening among young children.
Bubblegum Pink Alexander McQueen Power Suit For A Day Of Press
The Princess of Wales joined parents, adoptive parents, foster parents, and caretakers to discuss how crucial relationships, communication, and trust are for children during their early, formative years. The event was part of her Shaping Us campaign with The Centre for Early Childhood. Kate embodied grace as she stepped out for the engagement on Thursday, May 25th in a put-together pink power suit and pearl-themed accessories.
The Princess’s bubblegum pink suit was a perfect choice for this event! The suit featured a blazer jacket and matching cigarette pants, both from Alexander McQueen. The blazer had angled pockets, pointed lapels, structured shoulders, and a single matching pink button. Underneath the suit, Kate sported a similarly-hued pink low-cut blouse.
Again, Kate is the queen of recycling her outfits. She first wore this pink power suit at a Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood roundtable in June 2022. Kate styled the outfit differently in 2022 and chose to wear dark pink shoes from Emmy London and a crisp white vest with it. But, for this year’s outing, she accessorized the suit with pearl and white accents.
Kate cinched her outfit with a white pearl belt by Camilla Elphick. The belt was made from calf leather. As for Kate’s jewelry, she wore matching pearl earrings which featured a white pearl bead that hung from a sterling silver hoop that was plated in 22-karat gold. The earrings are the Cha Cha pearls by Maria Black. Kate’s white leather heels are by Gianvito Rossi. The Italian-made pumps had a pointed toe, a stiletto heel, and a beige sole.
Embroidered Elie Saab Gown In Rosy Pink For A Royal Wedding
Kate’s pink looks don’t stop there! On June 1st, for the daytime wedding of the Crown Prince of Jordan, Kate dressed appropriately in an embroidered soft pink floor-length gown by Elie Saab. The dress is an archive piece from the Lebanese designer’s Fall 2017 collection. It had full-length, puffy sleeves with pleating, a high collar, intricate floral and lace embroidery on the bodice and cuffs, and a maxi skirt. The royal truly took our breath away in this beautiful dress!
The Princess finished off her gorgeous ensemble with with her signature blowout and soft, natural makeup. And, when it comes to accessories, Kate carried a simple metallic gold clutch from Wilbur & Gussie and wore the Bespoke Kunzite and Diamond Earrings. On her feet, she sported heeled Scalloped Sandals in Beige Suede. Her date, husband Prince William, complimented her in a dark suit and blue tie for the occasion.

Outfit Change Into Sparkly Light Pink Jenny Packham Dress For The Wedding Reception
She then changed into an equally rosy, sequined gown for the wedding reception. The super-light pink, sequin-embellished dress was by one of Kate’s go-to fashion labels, Jenny Packham. The dress featured long sleeves, structured shoulders, and a long train that elegantly flowed on the floor behind her.
Kate even accessorized with her favorite tiara, the Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot, for the special occasion! The tiara features pearls and diamonds formed in knot shapes. It is over 100 years old and was originally commissioned by Queen Mary in the early 1900s.
The Princess of Wales finished off her ensemble with sequined nude heels from Gianvito Rossi, a blush pink Satin Logo Box Clutch from Prada, a yellow ribbon brooch pin with a portrait of Queen Elizabeth, and a blue sash. Plus, for a touch of sparkle, Kate wore the Greville Diamond Chandelier earrings.
A Blush Pink Beulah London Dress To Young V&A Opening
And, most recently, on Wednesday, June 28th, Kate was pretty in pink to officially open the newly renovated Young V&A Museum, formerly the V&A Museum of Childhood. To mark the occasion, the Princess of Wales sported a blush pink Ahana Dress With Short Sleeves by Beulah London which she paired with white Jimmy Choo heels and sparkling gold and diamond earrings by Mappin & Webb.
The mid-length blush pink dress has a fit-and-flare silhouette and is crafted from 100% wool crepe. It has a high neckline, short sleeves, buttons on the bust, and a sweeping skirt that’s belted at the waist for a figure-hugging design. And, if this frock feels familiar, Kate’s worn it before to the Wimbledon Men’s Finals in 2021.
With a couple of more weeks before Greta Gerwig’s movie hits theaters, we’re expecting even more Barbiecore-inspired outfits from the Princess!
