Kate Middleton Wears A Cream Self-Portrait Dress To The Annual Order Of The Garter Service
Earlier this week, the annual Order Of The Garter service was held on the grounds of Windsor Castle in the historical St. George's Chapel. It's one of the most significant events that happens at the chapel, and according to the royal family website, "includes The King, who is Sovereign of the Garter, several senior Members of the Royal Family, and twenty-four knights chosen in recognition of their work."
"Knights of the Garter are chosen personally by the Sovereign to honour those who have held public office, who have contributed in a particular way to national life, or who have served the Sovereign personally."
Last year, due to her cancer diagnosis, the Princess of Wales wasn't able to attend the important event, but she made a triumphant return this year, after sharing with the public that she's in remission in January.
For the ceremony, she wore a cream-colored dress from the popular brand Self-Portrait. The fashion brand is a favorite amongst the royal family, as Kate and other members like Princess Beatrice have worn their clothes several times in the past. The dress included a coordinating jacket and a sleek skirt with a sheer, lacey bottom that stopped just above her ankles.
Kate paired her dress with a matching fascinator hat, several layers of pearl necklaces, and some beige suede heels. Her brown-blonde hair was worn down and pinned back.
