Katy Perry And Orlando Bloom Slammed For Moving Forward With Court Battle Against 85-Year-Old Disabled Veteran: They’re ‘Not Backing Down’

Back in 2020, Katy Perry and her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, bought a home in Montecito, California from an elderly veteran named Carl Westcott. However, after the sale went through, Westcott attempted to cancel the transaction, claiming he was “mentally incapacitated” at the time. After duking it out in court, the judge ruled in Perry’s favor, but apparently that wasn’t enough for her.
The pop star decided to countersue Westcott, who has been bedridden for the past year due to Huntington’s disease, for $6M in damages and income lost due to not being able to rent out the home during the legal battle. Westcott’s family has spoken out against the stars on several occasions, calling them “greedy” and “unforgivable” among other things. Keep reading for more information.
