Keith Urban may have a super-famous Oscar-winning wife, but he reportedly doesn’t think their 16-year-old daughter Sunday Rose is quite ready for the public eye just yet!
The daughter of the 56-year-old “Somebody Like You” singer and the 57-year-old Babygirl actress made her red carpet debut at the 2024 American Film Institute Life Achievement Award Gala, which honored her mom’s career, back in April. (See a pic from the red carpet below.) She has also walked a few other red carpets, including the Balenciaga Haute Couture show during Paris Fashion Week, since then; however, Urban is reportedly keen for her to stay out of the spotlight for at least a few more years.

Keith Urban Is Reportedly 'Overprotective' Of His And Nicole Kidman's 16-Year-Old Daughter
An insider reportedly told Woman's Day that the "You'll Think of Me" singer wants his daughter – who is looking more and more like her truly ageless mom by the day – to stay out of the public eye until she "grows up" a little more. (Keith and Nicole also share 13-year-old daughter Faith Margaret, FYI, while Nicole also has two adopted children, Connor, 29, and Bella, 31, from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise.)
"He knows he's overprotective but he wants Sunday to wait a few years to really grow up before she even thinks about becoming a star," the insider spilled.
Sunday Rose, on the other hand, pictured above and below at the Paris Olympics, is reportedly keen to attend more red carpet events, which Urban isn't happy with.
"Keith's really got himself caught between a rock and a hard place. Sunday and Nicole are cut from the same cloth but he's worried that Nicole may be taking the easy path and saying 'yes' too many times to their daughter," the insider added.

"Keith Urban maybe could talk Sunday Rose in to going to college, that would be much better for her," suggested a second reader, as a third added: "No sixteen-year-old is ready for worldwide fame. If you are concerned about it, why have her out there now?"

He is just doing what any decent father/mother would do. By taking her to premieres etc, is giving her a taste of the film world etc," wrote another, adding: "But I bet you this 16-year-old girl finishes her education first. He and Nicole have a very grounded family approach. It's summer holidays etc so Sunday is getting a little taste of it. Then back to school."
