A little black dress is the perfect red carpet choice for many reasons— it’s timeless, sleek and works for any occasion. Kelly Clarkson is certainly a fan of a good LBD, and her latest Balmain leather mini dress took our breath away as she graced the red carpet last week to promote her new show, American Song Contest.
The “Breakaway” hitmaker’s style is clearly just as show-stopping as her powerful vocals, and her monochromatic ensemble highlighted her curves and stunning features— from the cut of the dress to her chic black boots.

The “Since U Been Gone” singer’s dress featured an off-the-shoulder top design, a cinched waist, high-low cut (that revealed a cute mini skirt underneath) and she paired her leather item with black tights. Clarkson donned a head-to-toe look in Balmain, with the even the details of her get-up designed by the British brand— including the black heeled boots and jewelry pieces.
For makeup, Clarkson rocked a bold smokey eye with cat-eye eyeliner, glossy pink lip and warm, radiant blush along her cheekbones. As for hair, she wore her middle-parted, collarbone-length, wavy blonde locks styled into loose curls. So pretty!

Clarkson shared her outfit with her 5.8 million followers in an Instagram post and garnered thousands of comments from fans who clearly approved of her look. “Gorgeous Kelly!!” wrote one user while another added, “yesss love this dress on you.” The “Behind These Hazel Eyes” vocalist shared a behind-the-scenes video of her preparing for her show’s latest episode and also shared cute clips of her hanging out with fellow co-host Snoop Dogg while wearing the all-black look.
