Hoda Kotb Addresses The Rumors That She Will Be The Next Host Of Kelly Clarkson's Show In New Interview With Andy Cohen

The television personality recently sat down for an interview with Bravo legend Andy Cohen on his late-night show Watch What Happens Live on June 5th. Wearing a sand-colored halter top dress, she spoke about her new lifestyle brand, gave some mental health advice, went over the Blue Origin space trip, and more.

What was a highlight for the show's audience and fans of the broadcast journalist were her comments on Kelly Clarkson's alleged future departure from The Kelly Clarkson Show. A few weeks ago, after her unexpected absence from the show, rumors and insider reports began circulating about the "Behind These Hazel Eyes" singer wanting to leave her hosting position due to the job being too "grueling."

Since then, more and more people have been discussing who would be a good fit to take over the popular series, or at least its daytime slot. Now that Hoda is no longer on the Today Show, a job she held for almost 20 years, her fans began posting online that she should take over and host a talk show.

Previously, the mom of two denied rumors that she was already declared the next host of Kelly's series, but it seems that she's beginning to change her tune about whether she'd be open to hosting it.

"I feel like Kelly is like, in a class all by herself," Hoda told a fan in the audience at WWHL.

"My whole thing with talk shows and all that stuff is, I'm like, a never-say-never person...You don't know what life's gonna bring you, but at this moment, I'm having such fun with the ride that I'm on. But you know, TV is my first love, so as I say in life, you don't know."

Fans React To Hoda's Comments About Potentially Taking Over 'The Kelly Clarkson Show'

This was an interesting update in the evolving story of the singer-songwriter's alleged end of her daytime series, which has won several awards and has been on the air for six years.

When fans of both women and other internet users heard Hoda's latest comments on how she feels about taking over Kelly's job, they had an interesting mix of reactions. Some felt that the show should simply be canceled if the musician decided to step down, while others felt that a Hoda-led show would be great.

"Cancel it if Kelly is done," wrote a Facebook user.

"She should do it!" added an Instagram user, referring to Hoda taking over.

"The hours are better, and you only tape half the year."

"We hope not, but love her," added another who is not pleased with the idea of a hosting switch.

There are still a lot of unanswered questions, and it is still unclear if Kelly will decide to leave her show in the near future. But for now, both ladies seem to continue working hard on their individual projects as we all wait to see what happens.
