Khloé Kardashian Recalls Getting Called 'Fat' By A Trainer In A New Episode Of 'The Kardashians'

A new season of The Kardashians is here, and we're back to learning more about the behind-the-scenes lives of some of the most famous women in the country. The seventh season of the series, which airs on Hulu, has already had an intriguing start, and in the most recent episode, the Good American founder opened up a bit about her life before she lost a drastic amount of weight.

For years, especially when they were first breaking out into the spotlight and pop culture, Khloé, the youngest of the three Kardashian sisters, was treated and portrayed differently in the media. She grew up and entered the spotlight with slightly different features than Kim and Kourtney, more notably, being slightly larger than them, which many media platforms and internet trolls ran with.

She's come a long way since then, developing a healthier relationship with eating and exercise, and during the new Kardashians episode, she recalled the time a famous fitness trainer from Barry's Bootcamp called her "fat" to her face. In the episode, the mom-of-two and Kourtney were invited to teach a class at the viral gym, when she reminisced on a time she had an exercise session with the founder, Barry Jay, who called her out on her weight.

"Remember when Barry called me fat?" she asked while on the phone with Kourtney. "This was years and years ago, and we were running, and I stopped. And he was like, 'That's what you're fat!' and I was like, 'That's why I'm here!'"

The episode cut to a confessional, where Khloé opened up a bit more on that time period in her life and how she felt after the intense interaction.

"I was fatter and we were working out," she recalled. "And I remember taking a break because I couldn't run, and he was like, 'That's why you're fat.' And I just remember thinking, 'God, that's a weird way to encourage people.'"

Khloé Kardashian Dives Deeper Into Her Experience With The Popular Trainer

The 41-year-old's weight loss transformation has been in the headlines for a while now, as over the last ten years, she's reportedly lost around 80 pounds, and judging by her social media posts, she keeps dropping more weight. For a while, some fans were getting worried about her, but she's insisted that she's developed a very strong and healthy relationship with food and exercise.

More recently, her sister, Kim, spoke out about how poorly she was treated for her appearance by the press and other people during the early stages of their careers on an episode of Call Her Daddy, and how she wished she had defended her more at the time.

Reflecting on when the training session with the gym founder happened, Khloé noted that it occurred during a time when it was more common to say shocking things to 'motivate' people, but that the experience still stuck with her.

"It was a different time," she explained in the Kardashians episode. "This was, like, 2006. 'Biggest Loser' and diet pills. You were allowed to call people fat. But we never spoke after that. That's literally the whole exchange."
