Hollywood has been well and truly shocked by the announcement that Khloé Kardashian and ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson are officially expecting their second child together, via surrogate. *OMG!*
“We can confirm True will have a sibling who was conceived in November,” the 38-year-old Good American founder’s rep confirmed in an official statement, referencing Khloé and Tristan’s four-year-old daughter, True Thompson. “Khloé is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing. We’d like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloé can focus on her family.” Where does this leave things with Khloé and her new beau, we wonder?!
We barely have enough time to process the news, but that’s not all we know, as the gender of the baby has also been confirmed! And it's a boy! "Khloé has always wanted a little brother for True and decided to go ahead with having the baby with the support of her family," an insider reportedly told Page Six following the shock announcement.
Fans who have already done the math have calculated that we can expect the newest Kardashian/Thompson to arrive some time next month – while also calculating that the baby boy would have been conceived before the 31-year-old Chicago Bulls player confessed to having an affair with 31-year-old former personal trainer Maralee Nichols, with whom he fathered a child. (FYI, rumors that Tristan had cheated on Khloé began to surface in December 2021. The basketball player finally confessed in January 2022, after a paternity test revealed that he was the father of Nichols’ baby, who was born in December 2021.)
The imminent new arrival doesn’t mean that Khloé and Tristan are getting back together though. If we are to believe sources close to the couple, they simply intend to co-parent their baby boy just as they have been co-parenting True. "Khloé and Tristan are not back together and have not spoken since December outside of co-parenting matters," an insider told People. "The baby was conceived via surrogate before it was revealed to Khloé and the public that Tristan was having a baby with someone else in December."
This will be the second child that Khloé and Tristan will share; but the NBA star is also father to five-year-old son Prince, who he shares with 30-year-old model Jordan Craig, and Nichols' seven-month-old son Theo, who he is believed to have fathered on his birthday while still dating Khloé.
