Fan Reactions To Kardashian’s Risqué, Y2K Swim Look
Naturally, Kardashian’s upload garnered millions of likes and thousands of comments from fans who hyped up her look. “Beyond stunning,” one user wrote as another added, “I need that bikini!” Someone else replied, “and that gold belly chain too!” (We def agree!)
As for Kardashian’s incredible physique, the Kardashians star credits this to frequent workouts and a balanced diet (she often shares glimpses of both of these aspects on her Instagram Story posts). Kardashian certainly made a plethora of headlines last year after dropping a significant number of pounds, and was criticized for “promoting starving oneself” or “acting like losing weight is easy,” as some fans on Twitter put it. She told Vogue that to get Marilyn Monroe’s iconic gown on for the Met Gala, she had to go on an extreme diet. This, she noted, required her to eliminate many foods from her daily intake.

She said to the outlet, “I tried it on and it didn’t fit me. I said, ‘Give me three weeks.’” She went on, “I had to lose 16 pounds down today. It was such a challenge. It was like a [movie] role. I was determined to fit [into] it. I haven’t had carbs or sugar in about three weeks.” Many fans expressed their concerns following this, stressing that “extreme diets are far from healthy,” as another tweeted.
Kardashian addressed this controversy in an Allure interview soon after, saying, “If I was starving and doing it really unhealthy, I would say that, of course, that’s not a good message. But I had a nutritionist, I had a trainer. I have never drunk more water in my life. I don’t see the criticism for other people when they lost weight for roles — they are [considered] geniuses for their craft.” She continued, “There are so many things out there that are so not accurate and not true.”
