Kim Kardashian is never one to shy away from a new look, and the reality star loves to experiment with updated hairstyles.
Most recently, the 40-year-old shocked her Instagram followers by sharing a photo with a brand new hairstyle. While promoting KKW Beauty’s new Opalescent collection, Kim showed off a lighter brunette hair color with honey highlights that looked absolutely incredible!

In the photo, Kim posed with a giant birthday cake, celebrating her 40th birthday in the extravagant way fitting of the Kardashian fam. She picked a revealing outfit for the shoot, wearing a silver bikini with a sheer metallic coverup. But the most surprising part of the photos was definitely Kim's new hair.

The reality star's photo was accompanied with an exciting announcement for any makeup lover.
She captioned her picture: "The new collection includes brand new Semi Matte Liquid Lipstick in 8 shades, a 10-pan Opalescent Pressed Powder Palette, an opalescent Birthstone Gloss and two new shades of our bestselling Opalescent Lip Liner."
Although the A-lister's hair change definitely looked great, it seemed like it was a short-term thing; pictures from Kim's 40th birthday party show her with her darker hair again.
However, that does not mean that lighter tresses are out of the question for Kim--and she's definitely tried out different hair shades before.
