Kim Kardashian is known for reaching outside the box when it comes to fashion, but many believe her latest SKIMS launch has taken things too far.

The reality star recently broke the internet after unveiling SKIMS’s new line of products, ‘Faux Hair’ thongs, which are one of the most shocking collections the brand has put out. Not long after, both Kim and the brand itself released some controversial and unconventional advertisements for the hairy undergarments, and social media went crazy over them, with numerous internet users slamming the brand founder online. Read more about the drop that has the internet buzzing below.

Kim Kardashian's SKIMS Releases New 'Faux Hair' Underwear

When it comes to fashion and zany style, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians icon is seemingly always up for a challenge and never afraid to do something that gets people talking. This has branched from her personal red carpet fashion and style to her brand, SKIMS, which is famous for its shapewear and undergarments.

At first, SKIMS shocked the internet and its customer base with some creative, suggestive bra designs, and now, they're kicking things up a notch. Proclaimed by the brand itself as their "most shocking" underwear products, SKIMS is now releasing "Faux Hair" panties and thongs, which are minimalistic flesh-colored pairs of underwear covered in fake human hair.

Over the last few days, the brand has been pushing the new collection, with shocking, sometimes censored advertisements that have been causing the internet to buzz. While it's unclear what would have inspired such a product, the shock factor certainly worked, as many pairs of underwear from the first launch have sold out on their website.

The Internet Slams Kim Kardashian For The New SKIMS Launch

As soon as the advertisements for the new garments were released on social media and Kim began posting about them on her own accounts, the internet went wild over them, as they caused a massive debate online. While some fans of the mom-of-four's thought the idea was fun, quirky, and certainly one-of-a-kind, others thought they were too much and felt the mogul was crossing a line.

"People are really gonna buy this, huh?" asked an Instagram user.

"At this point she's just laughing at everyone because they'll buy anything with her name on it," wrote another, referencing her fans.

"That's tacky!" added a user, as another called the underwear "tasteless, vulgar, and tacky."

Despite the complaints, the unusual garments seem to be taking off, and we can't wait to see what SKIMS customers have to say when their orders come in and they try them on for the first time.
