Chris Schwarzenegger Flaunts His Weight Loss In A New Holiday Video Posted By His Sister
The Schwarzenegger children were home for the holidays this year, and that includes Chris, the Director of Development at Indus Valley Media, who kept a fairly low profile in the public eye until he lost a significant amount of weight.
Although paparazzi had started capturing his progress at least two years ago, fans and other internet users were truly amazed by his weight loss after seeing new pictures of him with his brother, White Lotus star Patrick Schwarzenegger. He might not be public on social media, but his sister, Katherine, is, and recently shared a video of their family at Christmas.
In the video, as their sister, Christina Schwarzenegger, went in for a hug with Katherine's husband, actor Chris Pratt, a slimmed-down Chris can be seen standing at the side of the table in a sweater and pants, looking slimmer and continuing to mind his own business during the family moment.
Chris Opens Up About What Inspired Him To Change His Lifestyle & Lose Weight
The media attention brought on by the 28-year-old's weight loss progress led him to attend and speak at a health summit in May, the Beacher Vitality Happy & Healthy Summit in Los Angeles. He opened up about what inspired him to change his life after years of struggling with his weight. The answer surrounded a once-in-a-lifetime trip he took, which ended up being sub-par due to the lack of physical things he was able to do.
"I started in 2019 when I was living in Australia," he explained, as reported by People. "I was on this big trip. I made it a big [deal] like, 'Oh, I'm going to go out and do all this stuff, be in Australia,' and I just saw how much my weight was prohibiting me from doing the everyday activities."
When he began his weight loss journey, he knew he needed to do something slightly more drastic to kick things off, so over the 40 days of Lent, he gave up bread as part of the Catholic observance period.
"That was my one rule," he admitted. "I was like, 'I'm not going to break Lent.' And so I lost 30 pounds just through that."
Now, Chris said he's been continuing to eat a healthy and balanced diet, while also exploring different forms of exercise like strength training, walking, hiking, etc. Although he hasn't given fans a scale update since his initial 30-pound weight loss, it's assumed he's gone even further, and he looks great.
