Kim Kardashian has come under fire yet again – only this time, it isn’t for her overly-Photoshopped pictures or for allegedly keeping her dogs in the garage. On Tuesday, August 8th, the 42-year-old Skims founder shared a post with her 363M Instagram followers in promotion of a “life saving” Prenuvo full body scan, which she said was actually not an ad, but something she just wanted to tell her fans about.
According to Prenuvo’s own website, it costs $2,499 for one single scan, which led to the Kardashians star’s fans flocking to the comments section to call her post “tone deaf” and “selfish” due to the current cost of living crisis.

“I recently did this @prenuvo scan and had to tell you all about this life saving machine,” Kim captioned her post, which showed her posing by the machine in the first picture. “The Prenuvo full-body scan has the ability to detect cancer and diseases such as aneurysms in its earliest stages, before symptoms arise. It was like getting a MRI for an hour with no radiation,” she continued, adding, “It has really saved some of my friends lives and I just wanted to share #NotAnAd.”
However, the mom-of-four’s post didn’t get the reaction she thought it would, as instead of being grateful for the heads up about the life saving machine, her fans blasted her for thinking that having the scan was something that normal people could afford.
