While the Trump family rang in the end of 2025 with a lavish New Year’s Eve celebration at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, Kimberly Guilfoyle—Donald Trump Jr.’s ex-fiancée—spent the holiday season without them, focused on political work in Athens, Greece, where she serves as the U.S. ambassador.
After the holidays, the 56-year-old shared an update on January 8, posting a photo alongside colleagues as they met to discuss political priorities and plans for 2026.

Kimberly Guilfoyle Looks Chic in a Pantsuit
In the image, Guilfoyle is seen wearing a chic black pantsuit, complete with a structured blazer, a coordinating blouse, and flared trousers styled with classic pumps. Though it was the start of a new year, she stayed true to her signature glam aesthetic, wearing her long hair in loose waves and opting for her trademark dramatic smoky eye makeup.
In the caption, Kimberly excitedly wrote, “2026 is going to be a phenomenal year! I joined my counterparts from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the UK today to discuss the year ahead and preview plans to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States. I feel truly fortunate to mark this anniversary here in Athens, the birthplace of democracy.”
The former prosecutor was quickly appointed as U.S. ambassador to Greece shortly after Don Jr. began his relationship with now-fiancée Bettina Anderson. With his engagement to the Palm Beach socialite announced last month at a White House Christmas event, Kimberly was finally asked about her ex’s rapid romance.
In a January 4 interview with The New York Times, she said, “I’m happy for Don,” adding, “I wish him, of course, all the best.” No drama from her side—just grace and well-wishes!

Kimberly Guilfoyle Has 'Major Concerns' Over Don Jr.'s Engagement To Bettina Anderson
While Kimberly remained classy and drama-free in the interview, sources revealed a few weeks ago that she doesn’t view Don Jr.’s relationship with Bettina in a very positive light.
“Kimberly knows Don well, and they’re still great friends, but she has major concerns when it comes to his relationship with Bettina,” a source told PEOPLE exclusively. "The engagement was difficult for Kimberly to see, and she felt it only added to her doubts about the relationship."
"She only wants the best for Don, but she isn’t convinced Bettina is well-suited for Don or that what they have is the real deal," the insider says. "Kimberly has a hard time seeing the headlines about their relationship because she doesn’t believe it’s built to last. She feels Bettina is more interested in the prestige and attention that comes with being connected to the Trump family and doesn’t think she’d be with Don if it weren’t for that," the source adds.
“As recently as not that long ago, Kimberly and Don still hadn’t completely moved out of each other’s places, and Don still had many of his belongings at Kimberly’s home, including clothes and shoes,” the source claims.
Donald Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle dated from 2018 to 2024, becoming a high-profile couple and getting engaged in 2020. Their split became public in late 2024 just as Trump Jr. began dating Bettina Anderson.
Don Jr. is now engaged to Anderson, an engagement he and his father announced in December 2025 during a White House holiday party.
