A Former Royal Aide Claims King Charles Would Allow Harry & Meghan To Become 'Part-Time' Royals
Rob Shuter, a British-American journalist who is famous for writing about the royal family, recently received some new intriguing inside reports from a former aide and another source, who are hinting that King Charles may be open to the idea of making special accommodations for his son and his family, allowing them to return to the UK.
Earlier this year, Prince Harry underwent some legal drama after he failed to appeal a UK court's decision to decrease his publicly funded security protection whenever he and his family returned to his home country. After years of reported tension between the Duke of Sussex and his family members, everything boiled over when he told the BBC he was "devastated" by the court's decision, and that it made it too dangerous for him, wife Meghan, and their two children, Lilibet and Archie, to enter the UK for even a visit.
Since then, King Charles III has been battling an unspecified form of cancer and has experienced a handful of unexpected hospitalizations and needed breaks from public appearances. According to royal insiders, the progression of his illness allegedly has the royal family looking to the future, and he may be ready to make different plans for the Harry & Meghan stars, who have been seemingly outcasts since moving to America in 2020.
A source recently told Shuter for his Substack blog that the king is reportedly considering giving the American-based couple a "part-time royal" position, which would allow them to continue performing royal duties "on their terms."
"This isn't about feelings," claimed the insider. "It's about survival."
Insiders Claim The Deal For Harry & Meghan Would Be A 'Betrayal' To Queen Elizabeth II
While the "part-time" royals deal sounds like a great situation that could reconcile this broken family, the royal insiders who spoke to Shuter noted that the alleged possibility would go against the beliefs and wishes of the late Queen Elizabeth II, who was reportedly "betrayed" by Harry and Meghan's exit before she died in 2022.
"Her Majesty considered this settled," claimed a source. "She would see this as a betrayal."
Numerous insider sources who were connected to the royal family, from aides to other connections, claimed that the late monarch took Prince Harry's exit from his royal family duties very hard, as it was a one-of-a-kind situation.
The Duke and Duchess were very outspoken about the alleged cruelty they experienced during their days in the UK, which reportedly caused the queen to close herself off. In his recent piece, Shuter claimed that not long after Harry and the As Ever founder left their royal duties, the Queen angrily stated, "You're either in or out," relating to their commitment to the royal family.
We'll be very curious to see if there is some sort of 'deal' or reconciliation made between the king and the controversial couple, and if there is, if they'd be willing to take it. However, they may end up spending the future apart.
