Prince Harry Is Expected To Be In The UK To Testify In Court Against Associated Newspapers
According to reports, Prince Harry is due to be in the U.K. to testify in court against Associated Newspapers, the publishers of the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday, alongside other A-listers including Sir Elton John and Elizabeth Hurley. And despite things heading in the right direction reunion wise, King Charles will not be expected to meet up with him during this trip.
This decision isn't necessarily a sign of a stalled reunion, but rather due to King Charles wanting to avoid involvement with the court case amid his ongoing battle with cancer.
The King is reportedly expected to be in Scotland during the court case, with insiders telling The Telegraph he has "no wish to be linked to any court proceedings."
The Royal Family Views Prince Harry As 'Untrustworthy'
"It's important to note that King Charles does not regularly communicate with Harry," royal expert Kinsey Schofield told Fox News Digital, referencing his plans to stay away from his youngest son during the court case.
She added that the King is still cautious about Prince Harry and believes meeting him amid a high-profile legal battle, which is guaranteed to attract media attention, is not ideal.
"The royal family views him as untrustworthy and a liability, largely due to concerns that private conversations will quickly find their way into the press," she said, adding: "This is especially sensitive given that the King's cancer treatment is considered a deeply private matter."
Royal Expert Says King Charles Not Seeing Prince Harry This Month Is A 'No-Brainer'
British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard also echoed this, telling Fox News Digital that Prince Harry's past actions help explain why King Charles wants no involvement with the case or his son at this time.
"Prince Harry is accustomed to a life built on conflict. He has sued the Mail on Sunday and much more, to the embarrassment of his father," she said.
"He still maintains that he has been stitched up by the establishment. It's a no-brainer, and safe to say, that King Charles will not be seeing Prince Harry," Chard concluded.
