But despite that, the King is said to be keeping his distance from the disgraced royal, as evidenced by the fact that he reportedly did not visit Andrew during his recent stay at Sandringham last weekend.

King Charles Is Keeping His Distance From Ex-Prince Andrew
After finally evicting his brother from Royal Lodge, the King is understood to have relocated him to Marsh Farm on the Sandringham estate. Andrew was previously staying at Wood Farm earlier this year – where he was arrested back in February – while renovations were carried out at Marsh Farm.
According to The Times, the King reportedly didn't arrange any visits with his brother during his stay at Sandringham, despite being just minutes away from him. It is understood he deliberately chose to keep his distance, with optics believed to be a key factor. For what it's worth, they were last publicly seen together at the Duchess of Kent's funeral in September 2025.
It's not surprising the King is increasingly conscious of avoiding any association with Andrew amid the ongoing controversies surrounding him. Most recently, Thames Valley Police confirmed it has widened its criminal investigation into alleged misconduct in public office to also include sexual misconduct claims.
"He's totally isolated as far as we know," royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said. "The King obviously wishes to distance himself as much from Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor whilst the police investigation is going on."

According to reports, the Queen Consort is said to want a wider distancing from the former Duke of York's entire family, and is not particularly warm toward his daughters. A source recently claimed she is "cracking down" on them, suggesting a noticeably firmer stance within the wider family. As well as not attending either of their weddings, she is also rumored to have possibly had a hand in their absence from the recent Buckingham Palace garden party, although this is of course currently pure speculation and very much unconfirmed.
