Royal insiders are reporting that if Prince Harry follows through with his plans to visit the UK this summer, his father, King Charles, will not want to see him.
The king and estranged prince have allegedly been doing some work to reconcile, but recent events have made it worse, and now, sources say Charles has no plans to see his distant son during the summertime at the family’s Sandringham estate. King Charles Reportedly 'Won't See' Prince Harry If He Visits The UK This Summer
The last year has been a very interesting one in terms of royal family headlines, as those close to Prince Harry and other royal insiders began indicating that he was ready to reconnect with his estranged family members, especially his dad and brother, Prince William.
Following nearly six years of Harry and his wife, the Suits alum, distancing themselves from the monarchy and rejecting their lifestyle, as Meghan focuses on her career switch-up and lifestyle brand, As Ever, there were whispers that her husband was in a different boat. Last year, he reportedly got to sit down for tea with King Charles.
Now, reports are coming out that the Spare author is seeking an invite to spend time with the royal family at their Sandringham estate this summer, allegedly wanting to include his kids. However, a new source has come forward to state that King Charles might not let it happen.
"Ever since Harry broke the Sandringham agreement, it would be too much for Charles to see him," the source told The Times of London, as reported by NewsNation.
King Charles Is Allegedly Upset About Harry & Meghan Using Their Children For Advertising
It seems there are numerous reasons as to why the monarch may not want Harry and his family to drop in on their summer plans, with him allegedly feeling like his son and daughter-in-law's actions have been "emotional blackmail."
Another insider is noting that on top of all the existing drama and tension between the father and son, Charles has been especially reactive towards Meghan's brand, As Ever, and how she's gradually been involving their two children, Archie and Lilibet, in the process. For instance, a new As Ever candle was named and sold under "Princess Lilibet."
"Charles is not thrilled that his grandchildren are being used to peddle candles," the source told Women's Day. "William's stunned they would take such a risk. Seeing 'Prince Archie' and 'Princess Lilibet' on some Shopify website has left bile in the mouths of some of the royals."
We'll be curious to see what ends up going down this summer, if the prince decides to go to the UK, if he goes and avoids his family, or chooses not to go at all. Either way, there's a good chance he won't receive the warmest welcome.
