Kourtney Kardashian Slammed As 'Neglectful' For Not Putting A Life Vest On Baby Rocky
On Saturday, August 8th, the Lemme founder came under fire after posting a picture of herself breastfeeding her one-year-old son Rocky, whom she shares with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, on a boat.
The carousel also featured more wholesome vacation snaps, including delicious food, dreamy scenic views, and a swimsuit mirror selfie of the mom-of-four. But the breastfeeding picture was the one which caused a stir, due to the fact that Rocky was on the boat without a life vest.
"No life jacket? And the Mother of the year award goes to…" one critic wrote in the comment section, which sparked quite a debate. "Putting another mother down doesn't make you a better one," replied a second, followed by the eye rolling emoji, as the original poster hit back: "Putting a life jacket on my child automatically makes me a better Mom. Stop putting these celebrities on a pedestal." Yikes!

"Where's his life jacket?" asked a third fan in the same comment section. "Life jackets for children is the law, it's also common sense," slammed a fourth, as a fifth added: "You've had 3 other kids... I think you knew he needed a vest."
"Yet she 'protects' his face from the public but not his life with a life jacket," quipped a sixth, followed by two eye rolling emojis. "I can't believe that she doesn't have a vest on her child. Is that neglectful or what? Shame on her," a seventh chimed in.
"Please use a life vest on your child," begged an eighth, as a ninth recalled: "In that huge boat accident in Tahoe, the only two people that survived were wearing life vests. All the rest died when the boat capsized."
Kourtney Kardashian Addresses Fan Concerns
Not one to take being branded a "neglectful" mother lightly, the Poosh founder not only bought her son a life vest, but made sure her Instagram followers knew about it.
"Update: bought a life vest that fits! Good looking out," she captioned an Instagram Story of the vest she seemingly purchased. "Honestly didn't think about some of the dangers," she continued.
She added: "Thank you for making me aware and hopefully this makes other mommies aware of the dangers of certain types of boating without a life vest."
