Kris Jenner has had the world shaken up with her facial transformation over the last few years, and in a new interview, she opened up about how much it changed her life.
The reality star has admitted to getting a new facelift after her first one from 15 years ago needed some retouching, and she told the world that it was her way of “aging gracefully.” Her comments surrounding the procedure and attitude towards her transformation sparked backlash on social media, and people found that her comments on aging are not relatable and represent more “insecurity” than anything. Kris Jenner Says Getting A New Facelift Was Her Version Of 'Aging Gracefully' In A New Interview
While her daughters are typically the ones who get a lot of attention for their looks, style, evolving faces, and more, the 'momager' of the Kardashian-Jenner clan recently wowed her followers when she started walking around with a much more youthful look over the last year or two. Earlier this year, internet users and plastic surgeons began to speculate that something had been done, a facelift or some other kind of procedure.
Sure enough, she eventually owned up to it and began opening up about her latest facelift procedure. In a new interview with Vogue Arabia for their September issue, she opened up even more and spoke about what caused her to get a new facelift and how it's been affecting her ever since.
"I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time for a refresh," she recently told the publication. "I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy."
Kris is set to turn 70 this year and defended her decision to get a second facelift despite some people's critiques, emphasizing that as a successful woman of a certain age, she had the right to do what she wanted with her body and that the facelift is what made her feel happy about aging.
"Just because you get older, it doesn't mean you should give up on yourself," she added. "If you feel comfortable in your skin and you want to age gracefully, meaning you don't want to do anything, then don't do anything. But for me, this is aging gracefully. It's my version."

The Internet Slams Kris For Her Latest Facelift Statements
Once the mom-of-six's interview was published, the internet quickly began weighing in, just as they did when she first started stepping out with her newly "refreshed" face. While some people cheered her on for not only being honest about her facelift but also for explaining why she got it, others were not so supportive and felt that her comments showcased the negative aspects of plastic surgery and anti-aging procedures.
"This is NOT aging gracefully," commented a user under pictures of Kris on Instagram.
"The people around her should have talked some sense to her," wrote another, who later referenced Kris' influence on her numerous grandchildren. "What are they teaching North, Penelope, Chi, True, and Dream?"
"Aging with money would've been a better term," joked a user.
"I call it insecurity!" added an Instagram user, referencing her 'aging gracefully' comment.
While the Keeping Up With The Kardashians matriarch is insisting that she's been sharing details on her procedure because she thinks it's "very inspirational" to those who aren't feeling as good about themselves, the latest reactions to her insight may cause her to speak about it less.
