Lady Gaga probably gave us her best red carpet look of the decade when she attended the 2022 EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday, March 13th serving true old Hollywood glamour! The House of Gucci star floated along the BAFTAs red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall in London, as she was nominated in the ‘Best Leading Actress’ category for her highly-praised role as black widow Patrizia Reggiani in Ridley Scott’s movie – and she certainly made sure all eyes were on her on the red carpet!
Although the 35-year-old singer and actress missed out on the award in her extremely-competitive category (it went to Joanna Scanlan for her role in After Love) we think she was still a big winner on the red carpet, because the whole internet agreed that she looked phenomenal!

The “Stupid Love” singer gave her traditional Armani Privé and Gucci ensembles a small break for the BAFTAs, and instead, chose to wear a show-stopping bespoke green velvet and silk taffeta Ralph Lauren Collection gown, which featured a very daring, plunging front and one of the longest and most dramatic trains in existence. How she managed to effortlessly navigate the red carpet with such a gargantuan train is beyond us! She was a total pro!
According to reports, the “Rain on Me” singer’s head-turning gown took 150 hours to craft by hand (*Wow!*) and it needed an astonishing 50 meters of velvet and silk taffeta to make. We definitely think it was worth every second and every meter, as this high drama red carpet look is sure to go down in history!
The 12-time-Grammy-winner accessorized her Ralph Lauren masterpiece with Tiffany & Co jewelry, as expected, including a diamond-and-emerald necklace, as well as matching earrings, a bracelet, and a ring from the 2022 Tiffany Blue Book Collection. She literally dazzled on the red carpet! Makeup wise, Gaga kept things relatively simple to allow the dress to command all of the attention, and her hair screamed old Hollywood screen siren! Perfection!
